For your consideration…

This message has been coming up over and over again over the last several days.

It is about living in the moment, the here and now. When we keep looking back with “would have,” “could have,” “should have,” etc., we lose power. The same goes for wishing for the “good old days.” And…the same thing goes for spending too much time looking into the future. Just a few days ago, we had a message reminding us to stop planning and start putting our plans into action.

I have been watching the mini TV series, “Saben.” Coach Saben credits his change and success to a therapist who pointed out that a play, start to finish, successful or not, averages 5-6 seconds. Focusing on the game’s outcome is wasted because the only way you can affect it is by making the current play, the 5-6 seconds you are in, as good as it can be.

The same goes for each of us. Maximizing the moment we are in is the best way to achieve the success we want. Focusing on anything else, past or future, takes power away from this moment.

I have a tag line on my emails that I think is appropriate for today’s message. “Maximize the moment and make it count for God has made it perfect.”

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Rememeber…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Maximize the moment we are in.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Catching up with Lori.

-Got my car rental done for my next trip.

-Lots of work on cards done and ready for a potential craft show.

-Made dinner reservations for a new Detroit restaurant I want to try.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
