False Guilt, True Guilt, and "If Only" – FaithGateway

For your consideration…

How soon we forget that our sins were forgiven and that we are born without sin. All too often, we live with some form of “guilt.” Sometimes it was desired and other times imagined. Sometimes we took it upon ourselves. Other times we let others cast it upon us.

How we came to carry guilt does not matter. It is still a burden. It is a weight that impedes our growth. Guilt occurs when we recognize a shortfall, a perceived wrong, etc. Once recognized, it serves no further purpose. Once recognized, we can decide to take action or not.

Our message today tells us that this should be the end of it. Carrying and feeding guilt not only does not serve us well, it also does not serve others well. Let guilt go. Do not carry it.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let go of guilt.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Jul, Louie and I went for a great walk through a park near me. I have been meaning to explore it for a year. I am so glad to start.

-We tried a new Mexican restaurant.

-A good book.

-Finished a couple of cards.

-Finished a TV series.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
