For your consideration…

In this blog, we stay away from politics, defining Your God, or religion. So I have been delaying writing today’s blog since I received the message.

Our message today is about the anger that seems to be so prevalent within our society today. And, of course, most of it is about politics, religions, belief systems, relationship, life challenges, etc.

We all get angry. It is part of our DNA. It serves a purpose. It is part of our alert system. It gives us pause to consider the course we are on. It can serve as a stress relief, if we let it. But sometimes we don’t release it. We hold on to it and let it build. This never serves us well.

We get angry because we care or are even passionate about something or someone(s). Passion can work for us ore it can work against us. Our passion is ours to control.

We have a choice. We always have a choice on how we handle our anger. But the key part of our message tells us we never have the right to harm or wish harm on anyone. That is the line. That breaks the “Golden Rule”. It breaks our(your) God’s commandment.

We have the right to be angry. We do not have the right to do harm or even wish it. We are asked to be aware of our anger and figure out productive ways to release it for our highest good and the highest good of all.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let go of anger.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A good day.

-Our electricity was repaired by mid afternoon.

-Catching up with Vicki, Alex, Mary, and Jackie.

-A good book.

-A great nights sleep.

Love, Blessings, and gratitude,

Rev. Chris
