For your consideration…

Anyone who has had a baby has heard of and/or done Lamaze. It is practiced breathing and focus to help manage the pain. This is the example we are given today for our message.

There are a lot of people in the world in pain…real/perceived…physical/emotional, etc. Rather than get caught up further in this pain, we are asked to find a focus to divert it.

We have a choice. We always have a choice. We do not have to stay wrapped up and consumed in our disappointment, fear, pain, anger, etc. We can choose to find something to focus on that is neutral and calm. Often for me it is listening to wind chimes as I focus on a spot of trees outside. Or sometimes, I come into my library, cover myself with a lap quilt my mother made, and focus on something outside.

It does not matter what it is. If it is something that can hold your attention while you “clear” out the negativity, it is perfect for you.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be not darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Find a neutral and peaceful focus.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Catching up with both my girls and Lori.

-Laundry done.

-A good book finished.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
