For your consideration…

Preaching as we experience in our churches adds value to our lives, HOPEfully. But today’s message is not about that kind of preaching.

We are reminded that sometimes people preach their knowledge, sometimes accurate and sometimes not, almost demanding that it be accepted. If it is not, the recipient is often left feeling belittled. Or perhaps, the preacher decides that it is easier just to do something themselves versus invest the time to teach.

Let’s remember that if you are the holder of the knowledge or skill, it is almost always going to be easier to do something yourself versus take the time to teach. But if we think ahead, further down the road, do we want our knowledge and skill to stop with us?

When we teach, we invest in the future. Consider this quote by the Dalai Lama, “Share your knowledge. It is a way to achieve immortality.”

That is the HOPE. and so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Teach…share your knowledge.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Teaching one of my favorite classes.

-A good doctor’s visit for Mary. We are finally moving forward.

-A chill night at home with the dogs, having groceries delivered, reading.

-Catching up with Jackie, AJ, Alex, and Lori.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
