For your consideration…

Our message today asks us to have “grace under fire.

At first I thought this was about yesterday’s election. But as I sat with it, I realized it is only a small part…example of it. We have been having messages about conflicts, problems, etc. Today’s message is about having grace under fire in adverse or tense situations….big and small.

We are being asked to find ways, techniques, that work for us. This is not a one size shoe fits all thing. What calms or relaxes us is different for everyone ie; prayer, meditation, running, walking, reading, crafting, writing, a photograph or happy memory, etc. Our message today asks us to think about what that is for us. We are asked to practice it so that we can call it up instantly when we need it.

Our grace under fire is for our highest good and the highest good of all every single time.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light.Wherever  you go, there can be no darkness.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Practice grace.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Catching up with Jackie, Alex, and Mary.

-Some crafting done.

-I picked up election results for a couple of precincts last night to report to a research group. Who won is not important to this story. What is important is that out of over 2000 voters less than 2 dozen voted straight ticket. That means that voters gave thought and consideration before voting. I found a lot of HOPE in that.

-A new book series.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
