For your consideration….

I love today’s message. It seems to go hand in hand with other messages we have had lately. And I love it because it is full of encouragement.

We can’t always see the whole plan…the bigger picture. Consequently, we tend to not start at all. We are waiting for that elusive clarity that never seems to come. No doubt, it is good to have a plan and make sure we are ready before we begin. But sometimes that does not mean we know the whole plan. Sometimes we only get to see the beginning.

Our message today reminds us to be brave and take the first step to jumpstart the rest of the goal, dream, plan etc. We are asked to have faith and take that first step trusting that the next will be revealed to us once we do.

For me, there is no bigger example than this blog. When I was asked to write it, I didn’t even know what a blog was. I was told to go get Blogging for Dummies. I did and the next step was to make a list based off of what I read. The next was to start checking things off of that list. Of course, as things got checked off some more got added but that was ok because they were the things I did not know were supposed to be on them in the first place. Like magic, every time I needed something or needed to know something it appeared as a next step.

You see the whole plan was too big for me. I was froze in place until I took that first step. That first step was the jumpstart. We are asked today to take a step to jumpstart our plans, goals, dreams etc.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Jumpstart your heart’s desires.

What made me smile yesterday….

-What I used to love to do at Stillwater is meditate outside. Yesterday I remembered that and thought, “I can do that right here at home on my beautiful patio.” I did and it was wonderful.

-A beautiful day.

-Reading on the front porch.

-I finally tackled cleaning up my library on my Kindle. You would think that if you discard a book you had read it would disappear but that is not the case. It becomes unchecked but is still listed. Alas, I had 34 pages of books on my Kindle that reduced to 15. Wahoo.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
