For your consideration…

Why reinvent the wheel if we don’t have to?

Our message today came in right after I talked to my sister and I was reminded of that conversation. We were talking about how we have come to the point in our lives where we know what we like and are no longer searching for products that work well for us. We talked about finding them and how valuable it is taking recommendations from others.

Every person travels their own path. They find products, activities, people, etc. that really work for them. The key is do they/we share it? We have all come across people who we have recommended something or someone to an they come back with a complaint. Sometimes that can act as a deterrent from recommending to others.

Our message today says that is wrong thinking. Don’t let that experience second guess yourself from helping others. Just don’t make them to that person. For example, I have a friend that is very  hard to please and very hard to work for. I do not like to give her recommendations. However, sometimes she just keeps pushing and calling asking for someones number or information on how to get a product. So when I give her someone’s number, I tell them first and I tell them that no matter what…whether they decide to work for her or not…it will not effect our relationship. They can take the job or not.

If you are still hesitant about offering tips, recommendations, advice basked on personal experience, qualify it. When I first was asked to write this blog, I said I didn’t want to do it because I did not want to seem “preachy.” I was told, “So write…for your consideration.. That is great advice for all of us. We can offer help but we can qualify it making it clear that the recipient can make their own choice and we are completely ok with that.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Share.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-For the last couple of nights I have finally closed my bedroom door because it is so cold. Last night I got warm and cracked it back open. My poor dog, Louie, did not agree. I woke up with him cuddled as close to me as he could get as far away from the door as he could get. Then he asked to get under the covers. He will sometimes do that for a few seconds. Not this mother. He stayed until I got  up.

-Catching up with Jody and Mary.

-Ordered groceries.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
