For your consideration…

The Tina Turner song, “What’s Love Got To Do With It?” brought in today’s message. We are asked to focus specifically on the lyrics…

What’s love got to do, got to do with it?What’s love but a second-hand emotion? What’s love got to do, got to do with it?Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?
Why? Because while these lyrics work for the message of the love song, they are completely wrong.
Love has everything to do with it. Love is the only thing that matters even if sometimes it breaks our heart. It is still the only thing that is real. It is truth. We are asked to always turn to love of God, self, family, friends, country, Mother Nature, the Universe, strangers, etc.
That is the HOPE. Love is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…
-Affirm…“I am loved.”
-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Always turn to love.
What made me smile yesterday…
-A beautiful day.
-Great 3rd graders….so fun.
-Catching up with Alex. Hearing from Kyle and Mary.
-I won a round at bingo.
-Finally go my bill squared away with the sprinkler company.
Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
