For your consideration…

Our message actually came in in one word, “PURGE.” And I can bet that the minute you hear that you think like me. “Ugh, Now a task.” “I don’t want another thing put on my plate.”

I will give you the same response I got. “Relax.” It is not about adding something to your plate. We are simply being given a helping hint. As we go about doing the thing we want to do or think are necessary in life to do, keep purge in the back of your mind.

For example, as you pull out fall or winter clothes, purge the summer ones that you notice you didn’t necessarily wear much this summer. As you change out your house decorations, throw tired ones away. Or donate ones you think you may not like to use again rather than store them and decide to do it next year.

You get the picture. We are changing seasons and as we do we can do double duty and purge at the same time. It does not have to be a separate task but every little bit helps.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…you are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Do some purging while doing other tasks.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Went to an OLLI event and joined to partake in some learning opportunities.

-Met a new friend, Kyle. We have a lot in common.

-Mojdeh and I then went to lunch.

-Catching up with Jackie and Alex.

-A good book.

-Spotify membership is one of many tasks I got checked off of my list.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
