For your consideration…

Today’s message made me laugh out loud. I love to entertain. Yesterday I had 3 of my “besties” come for lunch. Anyone who comes to my house knows that I will have at least one “guinea pig” recipe. Of course, I try to make a good menu of foods I know are good and then I try one new recipe and they are the judges. Only “Goods” will ever be made again. If it was an on line recipe, I put it in my main recipe book. If it is in a cookbook, I make notes. My besties thought the dessert was good. Actually, I did too. The problem is I know it wasn’t quite right. It involved meringue and I had not whipped the egg whites stiff enough. Consequently, the taste was the same but the texture, I know, was not quite right.

This is the meaning of “Proof is in the pudding.” the value, quality, or truth of something must be judged based on direct experience with it—or on its results.

Our message today reminds us of a couple of things. First, we should find our truth based on our direct experience. Secondly, our truth may be different from others. And finally, sometimes it just doesn’t matter.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?’

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Find your own proof in the pudding.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Some more rain. My yard is sighing with relief.

-Dianne, Jul, and Vickie came for lunch. It is always fun with longtime friends.

-Catching up with Shannon, Alex, and Mary.

-Finished the second book in a series and started the third.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
