“As Luck Would Have It” by Tom Fedro

For your consideration…

How many times have we said or heard, “I’m just not lucky”?

I’ve say it my self. Yet as I think about our message today, I realize this is not true. I am very lucky.

Our message today asks us to do what I just did. Stop and think about it. Put aside the current problems or irritations we have. Focus instead on our blessings. Quickly we see that we are very lucky.

Too often we think of lucky in terms of the lottery, bingo, poker, finding stuff, etc. Sure, when those things happen, we feel very lucky. But those things are a very few of the ways for luck to manifest itself in our lives.

We are asked to redefine lucky to our ego and focus on the many blessings we have. Let blessings be the definition of lucky.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-I am lucky to be loved.

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Open your eyes and seek how lucky you are.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-I made dinner for Alpha House.

-Beth and I went out to dinner and then to see a movie at the State Theater.

-Catching up with Mac and Alex.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
