For your consideration…

I often mention that we should be open and on alert for what the Universe, Spirit, God, our Guidance puts in front of us to point us in the right direction. Still, I am always amazed at their creativity. Only last week I read Alice and Wonderland to my students in summer camp. And voila, today, it is used to bring in today’s message.

In the story, Alice was sitting with her sister along the river bank and was bored. She then sees the white rabbit and follows it down the rabbit hole and all of the craziness begins. Perhaps, our message could also be careful what you wish for. However it is instead this, We don’t have to go down every rabbit hole that we see. We do not have to follow others who do..

What does this mean? Most every day we see drama. Mostly, HOPEfully it is other people’s drama. It is easy to get caught up in it. But rarely should we. We can sympathize. We can listen. But we do not have to join the drama, the doom and gloom. First of all, it is not ours to follow. Second, it is almost always opinion and conjecture. Third, how do we know what is true, half true, or false. Fourth, following other’s “rabbit hole” just adds confusion and complications to our own lives.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light.Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Don’t go down other people’s rabbit holes.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A magnificent day of thunder storms.

-Catching up with Mary.

-A good book.

-Personally, I am so disgusted with our current political democratic voting process that I tore up my absentee ballot, had it spoiled, and completely changed how I usually vote. Will this make any difference? No. But it did make me feel better.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
