Purpose

For your consideration…

I’m laughing today. I’m not really laughing at today’s message. I’m laughing because I hear my mom delivering it. When we would be irritating and complaining we were board, she would say “Get out of here and go make yourself useful.” Of course, we didn’t know what that meant. Certainly, we didn’t know how to do that but we knew it was better than the alternative if we made her mad. Or worse yet, she would find us something to do.

We may or may not know our purpose. But we all know that things can always be made better. And we all know that there is something we can do in every moment to make it so. We are asked to “Make yourself useful.”

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Make ourselves useful.

What made me smile yesterday…

A beautiful day.

-A great new summer camp group.

-Their creative spirit is amazing. I love getting insights into their thinking.

-Catching up with Mary.

-A new book.
