For your consideration…

There is a difference between critiques and criticism. Children who play sports can often learn the difference with good coaches, parents, mentors, or teachers. Good critiques offer us a positive path forward with good lessons learned. As we get today’s message we are asked to remember that.

There is another side to criticism. Negative criticism is harmful if we let it affect us. If we start to believe it and let our self-worth be diminished, it chips away at our true authentic self. We start to believe that we are less. so we are asked to be aware of negative criticism.

There is another key to today’s message. Negative criticism does not always come from others. All too often we deliver it to ourselves. Constance self-criticism is brutal to our well being. Of course, being honest with ourselves is important. But we must keep things in perspective. It is important that we critique versus criticize. It is important that we also offer praise when due.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

_Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Stay healthy with positive critiquing and praise.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-An eye appointment.

-Lunch with friends.

-Catching up with both my girls.

-Mary spent the night.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev Chris
