For your consideration…

Most of us probably recognize this quote or at least familiar with the philosophy. We also know there is always a “but,” another side, extenuating circumstances…etc. It is part of our growth that we learn and understand this.

Our message today tells us that the “but” in this quote is our attitude. If our intent is simp0ly to avoid the tougher choice or harder road just because it is tough, then we need to have a serious talk with ourselves. The lessons we need will keep coming at us no matter what. If we do not accept them, we lose many future opportunities because we will not be prepared to recognize, accept, or handle them. Procrastination and laziness does not serve us well.

Now, there is a second part of this message. Don’t overthink easy. If we are not procrastinating or being lazy, there is nothing wrong with easy. Hard or easy alone is NOT indicative of value.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Know your easy and  hard.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Catching up with Alex and Conner.

-A great morning with my sister, Lori.

-I took my neighbor, Joan, down to tour the newly renovated Michigan Central Station in Detroit. We were not disappointed. It was great. We then went out to dinner. It was a great day.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
