For your consideration…

Today’s message made me laugh out loud because as soon as I got it pieces of conversations from last night kept popping in my head.

Our message is simply this, “You create the recipe for your life. You decide what works for you.” We don’t have to live our life like anyone else. In fact, it wouldn’t work if we tried. Probably most of us have examples of time in our life when discovered this.

Twice yesterday the subject of “up north” in Michigan. It is very beautiful and I am the only person I have have come in contact with that does not care for it. I simply don’t like the drive. But it is a great vacation for most people.

Last night my sister and a couple besties came for dinner. I gave gifts from my Italy trip. Someone commented on the towels from Florence, “These are too pretty to use.” Answer, “Use them. If you kick the bucket tomorrow, the kids will put them in a garage sale for $.25.

That led to using our china which then led to just using paper plates. Which made us all laugh, because for me that would be rare but for my friend it totally works. Then we talked about who does the cooking and who does the shopping….life stuff. In this case it was how the couples work it out.

You get the message. Create the recipe that works for your life. Tweak it or change it up as needed. It is key to our happiness.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Create you recipe for your life.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A trip to Butman’s to come up with a plan for switching out my car.

-Catching up with Alex.

-Vicki, Julie, and Lori came for dinner.

-Lori spent the night.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
