For your consideration…

I live on a golf course. I loved to spend Sunday afternoon watching final golf rounds on TV. But I hate to play golf. So I found it funny that our message came in via golf.

Billy Graham has a TV commercial I have seen a few times. In it he acknowledges the chaos and hate in the world. And of course, he asks that we purge our hearts of hate. We couldn’t agree more.

Our message today is engaging…entering into the hoop-la…getting into the fray. I admit that somethings these days are so over the top, we want to jump right in and try to make things right. We want to express our disapproval and disappointment. It is natural when we feel passionate. But is it the best solution? Will we make a difference? Will others be able to hear us?

We are asked to take a step back like a golfer does before a putt. Try to understand the lay of the land and access how we want to handle a situation. How might our input be received? We want to know what outcome we seek before we act.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Assess before we act.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-I rested and slowly started to unpack. I’m starting to feel better.

-A good book.

-Catching up with both my girls and Dianne.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
