For your consideration…

Yesterday’s message asked us to consider “programming” ourselves for success. Today’s message is a bit of a tag-on to it.

There is no way around all the issues going on in the world. Just as we will constantly come into contact with people who we do not agree wit. Just as we will always feel the troubles of people we love. ETC…

Everyone has issues, problems, opinions, anger, etc. in their lives at one time or another. It is impossible to avoid it. But just as we have these occur in our lives, others have their own set of issues. If there were no conflict, there would be no lessons to be learned. Just like every story has a plot, protagonist, antagonist, problem, solution so do our lives.

The key part to today’s message is to remember who’s story is is? Listening and comforting are different than jumping in and taking the problem on as our own. Listening to protests, arguments, debates does not mean we need to nor should we them on as our own. Nor should we accept them as truth.

Does this mean we should not care? Of course not. But it is much like the instruction we get on a plane. “Put your own face mask first in case of an emergency. Then help others.” The point today is that we help no one when we jump into the negative fray and feeding the frenzy.

Every time I hear an ambulance, police, or fire siren, I offer up a prayer for those needing and giving their service. In the same vein, every time we find ourselves in the negative situations or people, we can offer up a prayer for healing solution for their highest good and the highest good of all? Then let it go protecting your positive energy that the world desperately needs.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Protect your positive energy.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Breakfast and shopping with Shannon.

-An adorable video of Conner and Hazel on vacation.

-Dianne, Lisa, and I went out to dinner.

-Then Jen joined us all at bingo.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
