For your consideration…

Swans have been put in our path. My friend, Tom, told me he had just finished trimming the labyrinth that he built for Kathy who passed a week ago. As he finished and started walking, two trumpeter swans flew over it. He was sure it was a message from Kathy. I believe it. Then my friend, Jul, and I went for a walk and literally saw at least a hundred swan on the lake. So swans it is to bring in today’s message.

Swans represent strong emotions in self and others both on this side and the other. Their long neck represents that connection, bridge. Swans represent the awakening of our inner beauty and seeing the same in others.

Swans losing their voice as they mature reminds of our strength even in silence. Swans have powerful wing and bites. They mate for life and male and female are devoted parents. This reminds us of the possibilities in our own life when we use our inner beauty, love, power, and commitment.

The swan is a totem of the child, the poet, mystic, and the dreamer in us all. But we are reminded that we must work with these energies and be committed to using them wisely and for our highest good and the highest good of all. Once again our message touches on our creativity as several other recent ones.

Ted Andrews writes that the Keynote of the swan is, “Awakening the True Beauty and Power of Self.”

We are asked to reflect on that. Go within and bring our power to the surface and work with it. The world needs us all now.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Work with your inner power, beauty, and creativity.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-I took Conner, Alex, and James to the airport for the start of their vacation. They were so excited.

-A great walk with Jul, Moose, and Louie.

-Catching up with Dianne and Mary.

-A new book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
