For your consideration…

Our message today is about honoring our feelings….all of them.

Too often we try to hide our feelings for various reasons. We are asked to consider if this is the right course of action. Should we hide our deep love whether it is returned or not? Should we hide our grief? Should we hide our anger? Should we hide our appreciation for others? Should we hide our smiles and laughter…our giggles? Should we hide our opinions?

Recently I had a young woman, a teacher, tell me that we should never hide real and authentic feelings. It has given me pause and I am sure why this message has resurfaced today.

The real question is, “What purpose does holding our authentic feelings in?” Perhaps we are embarrassed. Perhaps we feel no one wants to hear them. Perhaps we are afraid of retribution. Whatever the reason, authentic feelings need to be vented. They need to be dealt with. We need to hear each other. The key is to hear without judgment.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Speak your authentic truth and live it.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Catching up with Mary and Alex.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
