For your consideration…

Opinions matters…everyone’s. They show thinking. They show commonality and differences. They should be value add.

But we all know that is not what is happening. All too often opinions are divisive. Why?

Today we are told that when opinions are divisive it is due to judgment, lack of respect, unwillingness to be open to differences, commitment to our open, etc.

We are asked to be thinkers. Commit to gathering information. Be open to change. Think before we speak them. Identify them as our opinion. Be open to other’s opinion. Whether we agree or not, respect that they have an opinion. Suspend judgment and be respectful.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Honor your and others opinions.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Traveling proved to be challenging on Monday but Tuesday squared us away.

-Louie was a perfect traveler.

-I met a new friend, Laura, on the plane, a kindred spirit.

-Mac picked us up. For the first time, I was the first off the plane. By the time I got to baggage claim, she was there. I gave her Louie and when back in, found my carousal, my bags were the first ones off. I don’t think Mack was at the airport 20 minutes.

-She was so thoughtful. She brought me soup in case I didn’t have anything to eat.

-Beth and I went to our last event for our theater season tickets and saw, “To Kill a Mockingbird.”

-Wigleys was closed but told us that if we paid cash they would still sell us a corned beef saving us a trip back downtown. Wahoo. Then we went around the corner and ate at the Roma Cafe.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
