For your consideration…

Today’s message came in via the old song, “Count Your Blessings.”

When I’m worried and I can’t sleepI count my blessings instead of sheepAnd I fall asleep counting my blessingsWhen my bankroll is getting smallI think of when I had none at allAnd I fall asleep counting my blessings
I think about a nursery and I picture curly headsAnd one by one I count them as they slumber in their bedsIf you’re worried and you can’t sleepJust count your blessings instead of sheepAnd you’ll fall asleep counting your blessings

It is a simple reminder for us to retrain our ego and brain. When we are worried, scared, confused, we are asked to turn it around and remember, acknowledge, and be grateful for what we do have. Note to self…Ugh my hands are swollen and sore. But they still work. They are net keeping me from doing anything I want to do.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…”I am loved.

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light.

-Meditate/pray…ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

=Count your blessings.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A beach afternoon.

-I love how you just bounce like a cork in the sea salt water.

-Catching up with Mary.

-A fun book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
