There's more than one way to skin a cat. | Southern words, Southern phrases, Southern sayings

For your consideration…

It is ironic that I was given this message…or not. I am a planner. I love to plan. Give me an event and I am all over it. I already have plans rolling around in my head for St. Patrick’s Day, my teachers summer event at my house, etc. Remember the Franklin Planners? I bet I spent $2000-$3000 on them over my working career. And if the truth be known, I still preferred them to my phone but just can not justify the cost. Still, I do have “planning books.” They are harder and harder to find so when I do find one I like, I snap them up.

Our message today says tsk tsk. Leave room for change. Don’t get so wound up in our plans that we can not see a way out when they go astray. Don’t get so caught up in our own plans that we do not see new or improved ones that are put in front of us. Leave room to “go with the flow.”

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Leave room for other “ways to skin a cat.”

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-We got some good walks in.

-Catching up with Mary and Mackenzie.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
