For your consideration…

I think that most often when we think of nurturing we think of nurturing newborns and children. Or as in this Lennon quote, we think about plants and gardens. We think about taking care of them…the giving.

Today’s message wants us to think about and remember the receiving. Nurturing is like giving and receiving gifts. It is a two way street. Graciously giving and receiving are equally important as is the intention of love and joy of both.

There is one more thing about nurturing we are asked to remember. We are never to old to give or receive nurturing. It is timeless.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Remember to give and receive nurturing.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Catching up with Shannon and my neighbor.

-I taught a great class of 1st and 2nd graders.

-The school I taught at is a firm believer in recess, as am I. They go out in all kinds of weather for a good amount of time and are much healthier for it. My mother used to tell us kids, “Get outside and let the stick blow off you.” It was a joking way of trying to get us to go outside. But she had a point. Getting out of recycled air and letting Mother Nature clear your lungs is good for everyone.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,
