For your consideration…

Today’s message came in via the song, “The House That Built Me.”

It is natural for all of us to have times in our lives where we start to feel broken, or our foundation is cracking. During these tough times we may feel lost our out of control. We don’t know exactly where to turn or what to do.

“I thought if I could touch this place or feel itThis brokenness inside me might start healingOut here, it’s like I’m someone elseI thought that maybe I could find myself”
Songwriters: Tom Douglas / Allen Shamblin
When we feel lost or broken, we need to turn to what has sustained us. We need to turn to our foundation. Sure that foundation may have some cracks or weep holes but it is still solid. It just needs a few repairs to make it good as new. We can ask ourselves what is that foundation made of. Faith, love, friends, security, laughter, trust, etc. If we sit and think about our foundation, we know its strengths and weaknesses. We know what we need to build us back up and sustain us during tough times. That is what we need to do, reach out and seek what we need.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…
-Affirm…”I am loved.”
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
What made me smile yesterday…
-A beautiful day.
-Dinner with Lisa.
-A fun night at bingo.
-A good book.
Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
