For your consideration…

We have had messages over the years reminding us of the importance of intention. We have had messages reminding us to let go of regrets. If the actions we take were with good intentions and we did our best, then that is enough. We did our best. We have had messages reminding us to look at “intent” behind disagreements. Is the “intent” to hurt or harm? Many disagreements happen when we haven’t taken the time to uncover the intention.

But….there is a but that we are asked to consider today. It is about assuming and withholding. Let me give you examples.

People we care about have lost a loved one. We don’t talk about there loved one because we don’t want to bring them more pain. We assume that talking about them…keeping them alive…in the present will cause our loved one pain. We assume that with the highest of intentions. But what if we are wrong? What if not talking about their lost love causes them pain? We don’t know unless we ask.

Here is another example. What is we pick and choose what we want to share with various friends because we don’t want anyone to feel left out. We assume that if it is an event they can not attend, they don’t want to hear about it. Maybe that is the case, maybe it isn’t. We don’t know unless we ask. Perhaps the friend want to live vicariously through you. They want to hear about the adventure.

Our message wants to be very clear. Our good intentions are recognized and applauded. We are simply being asked to think them through and make sure our assumptions are valid before we choose to “protect” our loved ones.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Remember…assumptions are not always the best partner with good intention.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A fun school day.

-Catching up with Shannon, Mary, Jody, and Jackie.

-Conner, Alex and I went out to dinner.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,
