For your consideration…

We all do it. We hit rough spots in our lives and feel sorry for ourselves. Today’s message is what we do with that self -pity.

Holding onto self-pity and re-enforcing it with justification does not serve us well. Justified or not, wallowing does not serve us well. We become a magnet for more sorrow, pity, anger, etc.

Instead, we are asked to focus on helping ourselves. Turn our problem over to our Guidance. Write them down and burn them. Phone a friend. Count our blessings. Get a pet. Volunteer somewhere. Get lost in a good book. Take a walk in Mother Nature. ETC. ETC. ETC. Each of us knows what brings us comfort and joy. Seek that. Do those things.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let go of our sorrows.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A great class.

-Pesky errands done.

-Jul brought my packages by that I had sent to her by mistake.

-Catching up with both my girls.

-I thought I had scheduling conflicts but realized I had put them on my calendar by mistake. Wahoo!

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
