For your consideration…

I love the Bruce Springsteen song “The Streets of Philadelphia” that brought us our message today. But it is a heavy mournful song. It is that feeling that it elicits that makes it such a powerful song.

That feeling is what our message is about. It is my HOPE that none of you are in that sad place called loneliness. None of us deserve to feel that way. We all need the love, support, and kindness of other people. Of course, we are never really alone. Our Guidance is with us 24/7. Yet without positive interaction with our fellow humans, we can still feel all alone.

Today we are asked to keep love and kindness in the forefront of all we do. Support one another…accept and give support, love, and comfort. Don’t let loneliness settle into your soul. Reach out to others you suspect are feeling lonely.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Do your best to wipe out loneliness.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Vacation with Alex and Conner in Traverse City.

-It was so fun to see Judy and Tom. Conner and I had a great time.

-A great dinner at McGees with Dianne and Gary.

-Conner was wiped out and fast asleep at 7:45. Alex came in at 8:30 and off to the casino I went to meet up again with Dianne and Gary.

-I count it as a win if you break completely even after gambling for 2.5 hours on Friday the 13th.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
