For your consideration…

Don’t you love it? I love the crazy ways messages come in. If you haven’t experienced a bridezilla, for sure you have heard stories of them. It is always a shock when a person we have known forever suddenly turns into a person we have never seen before….one we could not image them to ever be. If we take a step back and suspend judgment, perhaps we can think of other times when people we know or even ourselves, have had a temporary breakdown.

These little breakdowns are typically caused by an accumulation of things. A build up of life has caused a blowout. Perhaps expectations were too high. Perhaps there was too much to do and not enough time. Perhaps reality has set in and we are not where we want to be. Perhaps it is fear. You get it. There became a moment when it was all just too much.

Our Guidance is brilliant. Using the example of a bridezilla is because we often laugh at bridezilla stories. We can see the absurdity. And we recognize the condition is temporary and HOPEfully one that we forgive.

Today’s message is about this recognition. It reminds us that these out of control moments are temporary. The should not replace a lifetime of experience. They deserve forgiveness. Everyone deserves forgiveness including ourselves. Forgiveness is a tool we all have in our life tool box. It is something that we have power and control over. When we choose to use it, it is for the highest good of all.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Forgive.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-School project prepped.

-Gifts and cards sent.

-A trip to Bill’s for hot dogs.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
