For your consideration…

And I think to myself and you may be thinking, “How could this sweet boy not been my first choice?”

Today’s message is about not always getting your first choice. I was reminded to think about when I decided to get another dog. We have always had at least one or two dogs. But when we lost our last golden retriever, I said no more. We wanted to go away for part of the winter, my husband was not well and I was afraid a dog might trip him. But as my husband got sicker and we became more confined, I decided I wanted the comfort and company of a pet. I narrowed down the breed and then started looking. I got scammed on Facebook, Almost scammed another time. But finally I found a litter that would be ready exactly when I was going to be ready. But by then, I was down to third choice of the litter. Of course, my heart melted as soon as I held him. And you guessed it, he is the perfect pet for me. I could not have asked for more.

I give this long example to remind us that we don’t always get exactly what we want. Sometimes the Universe intervenes and gives us something better. We get exactly what we need when we need it. Divine Timing and Purpose is always in play.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Relax, let God’s got you.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Jody and I  had a chill morning.

-Heard from both my girls.

-Visited with my friend, Kathy, for a few hours.

-Got some nagging tasks cleared up.

-Jody, Lisa, Gary, Dianne and I went for bar bingo at the Moose Lodge.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
