kids eating spaghetti and making a mess

For your consideration…

Oh my! This message is so fun and I don’t remember ever getting it before. In a nut shell, our Guidance is trying to get us to lighten up.

Be naughty. Isn’t that a bad thing? Hmmm… Does it hurt anyone? Who defined it as naughty? Is it really naughty? Who made the rule? Why? Is it valid?

Think about babies discovering they could grab a hold of toilet paper and run around the house then “tee peeing” houses as teenagers. How about running through the sprinklers with our clothes on or better yet naked?

I remember being a child at Christmas dinner at my Aunt Bev and Uncle Jim’s. Dinner was done, table cleared, and us kids were in the living room. My aunt and mom started cutting pie for dessert. All of a sudden we heard hooping, hollering, laughing, and all kinds of commotion. It is unclear who started it but my aunts and uncles had cans of whipped cream and were in a whipped cream fight. My cousins and I were in shock. Me, the rule follower, was very concerned someone was going to be mad about the mess. But no…the cleanup was just as fun.

You get the point. Lighten up. Break some rules. Have some fun.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Have some fun.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Catching up with both my girls and sister, Lori.

-Louie, Lisa, and I went out to dinner.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
