“Escaping Reality” Terence McKenna

For your consideration…

Escaping. We all like to and need to do it sometimes. We feel a need to just step away for a moment. How we do that varies. Some of us read. Others play games. Some of us exercise. Some of us try to sleep more. Some of us shut the world out while others immerse ourselves in it. Some of us don’t want to talk to anyone while other just want to talk to a friend.

Our message today acknowledges our need to escape and applauds us for it. But…there is always a but. The flip side is when we don’t want to come back to reality. We don’t want to step back into our lives. But we must. We are reminded that we must step back up and into our life lessons. Perhaps that sounds harsh and discouraging. So we are reminded that life is a pendulum swinging back and forth to keep it all in balance.

When we feel like life is too much, remember that the pendulum is about to swing the other way and all will be well.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Escape for a moment and step back into life.

What made me smile yesterday…

=Nails and shopping done.

-I made dinner and took it to Don and Mary.

-A new book.

-Catching up with Alex.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
