For your consideration…

As we say. there is always a “but.” There is always another side. There is always a contrast. Today we are asked to make “but” be a useful tool.

It is easy to complain, spot flaws in ourselves or others, see the shortcomings of situations. Turn on the news to see lots of finger pointing, negative news, etc.

Today we are reminded that all of this is unavoidable. We are human beings living the human experience. We need to notice. We need to notice our judgement. But we also need to remember that any negative; thoughts, words, actions, etc. are not good for us and/or others. They are just adding to the problem. This is where our “but” comes in. Notice the negative and add a “but.” Example. “I hate all this rain, but it is good for the garden.” “They’re not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but bless them they mean well.”

You get it. Use “but” to end thoughts, words, and actions in positive energy.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?:

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Use “but” to turn negative energy to positive.

What made me smile yesterday…

A beautiful sunny day.

-PJ’s all day sitting outside in the mountains.

-A day with friends, Dianne and Jody.

-Catching up with Alex.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
