TBLL on Twitter: "LEADERSHIP QUOTE: "Average leaders raise the bar on themselves; good leaders raise the bar for others; great . . ." http://t.co/v0xfjMq73x" / Twitter

For your consideration…

I love this quote on leadership so I used it today.

However, our message today is about raising our own bar. We are asked to keep stretching to grow into our life purpose. Setting goals, raising the bar, for our own life means we are taking personal responsibility. It is absolutely critical in living for our highest good and the highest good of others. Imagine a world were every person accepted personal responsibility rather than feeling entitled.

Too often people get talked into believing they are owed something. Sometimes it is even small things but the result is the same. It undermines personal responsibility and eats away at its foundation. And all to often it inspires a culture of entitlement.

We are reminded that we have all the tools we need to succeed and to keep challenging ourselves by raising the bar.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Raise your bar.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Happy hour at the Gandy Dancer with Pam.

-Catching up with Alex.

-Finished a good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
