For your consideration…

Julie Andrews sang an annoying song called, “A Spoonful of Sugar” in one of her movies. “A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go done in a most delightful way.” is the lyrics that brought in today’s message.

The Universe survives on balance. There is always a flip side. There is always a counter balance somewhere in play. Often it is the lesson we are being presented with. Or a contrast that we need to help us see our blessings.

We are reminded of this to help us stop procrastinating when we have something that we need to do but don’t want to. In this task there is a flip side. There is something for us to focus that can turn our attitude around. Find that and the task will bring us motivation and satisfaction.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go there can be no darkness.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Look for the bright side.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Mackenzie is home. AJ picked her up at the airport and they stopped by for a visit on their way home. It is just what I needed.

-We figured out how to put my new kayak together. I am excited. I love to kayak but no longer have a vehicle big enough to carry my kayak so I did not kayak all last summer. On a walk Jul and I saw some people on the river with Kayaks that fold up. They paddled back to answer our questions and I bought one over the winter.

-I started a new class for trail walking.

-Finished a book. I am so grateful that I found my Kindle. I wreaked my brain trying to think where it was. Finally, I decided to call the salon where I got my nails done and sure enough, it was there.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
