Support one another - Focolare Movement

For your consideration…

Support one another should go without saying. We know we should do this. We know this is what the world needs and is lacking.

Why is what is so simple and basic so difficult? It is because is needs to be done on a micro level versus macro level. It needs to be done one person, one interaction at a time…consistently.

It is also difficult because we forget that it is a soul to soul event. It can not be forced, mandated, or legislated. The best of intentions can be the most destructive. Why? Because even the best of intentions can steal free will, free speech, and HOPE. And that is never ok. It is never a good thing. Indeed, it causes more harm than good.

Helping one another in support is one thing. As is helping someone who is in temporary need.  Helping one another because we don’t feel they can do it themselves, they are incapable, is quite another. It stomps all over their HOPEs, dreams, and self-esteem. We do not need to be helicopter parents to one another. Respect and supporting intentions are what is needed.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE actin steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Where you go there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Support one another on a soul to soul level.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Alex came over and we went to breakfast at the Bomber.

-We got most of Amelia’s baby shower planned.

-Catching up with Mary.

-Beth and I went to Hill Auditorium to see Audra McDonald who was amazing.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
