For your consideration…

I thought this message odd the day after Easter. But then I remembered Judas so perhaps it is time appropriate.

The tough thing about betrayal is that is disrupts what we thought we knew as true. It breaks our trust.

Our message today tells us that when our trust is broken we tend to become distrustful. We are asked to pause, single out this betrayal. Ask the questions. Square it away, learn the lesson, let it go, and move on.

Of course, we will be more careful, more discerning. That is part of the lesson. But we must be careful that let one betrayal poison our faith in others.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…”You are the keeper of the light. Where you go there can be no darkness.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-An absolutely beautiful, warm, sunny Easter.

-Mary and Todd hosted and put on a delicious dinner.

-It was good time seeing Todd’s family and spending it with Nick, Kathy, James, Alex, and Conner.

-A short visit with Don and Mary when I dropped off leftover dessert.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
