Perspective Drawing

For your consideration…

We have had messages about how without darkness we would not know light. It is in the contrast and comparison that we can see and know things. Today we are given a little hint on how to use this to our advantage.

When we are having a bad day or moment, we can change it around. We can change our perspective and HOPEfully our attitude. How? By simply asking this question and filling in the blanks.

Example:”This day is horrible. OK. Compared to what?”

Is it horrible compared to yesterday, a day last month. Compared to what day?

Now switch our answer up and pick a day that was a really bad one. Compare this day to that day and, VOILA This day is not so bad. We can turn our smile upside down.

Contrast helps us to see. What we use to as comparisons makes all of the difference. It changes our perspective and our attitude.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Make contrast and comparisons work for us.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Spending time with Kathy and Tom at the track meedt.

-We stopped by and visited with Don and Mary.

-Conner discovering the library. Libraries have come so far and are so welcoming.

-Catching up with Jody.

-A new book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
