Sharing is caring | Elementary children, Character lessons, Elementary

For your consideration…

HOPEfully we have all heard this saying. Our message today asks us to revisit it and give it some thought.

Remember the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” We all benefit by sharing; ideas, things, love, HOPE, helping hands, etc. Remember synergy…it is greater than the sum of its parts. When we share, the benefit is much bigger than what we shared.

That is the first part of sharing we are asked to think about. Here is the second part. It is important that we not be a person who over shares. We want to be careful to not jump in to solve someone else’s problems. Everyone needs the chance to learn their own lessons. Also, it is great to be a person who helps others by sharing. But….there is always a but…there is always balance. It is just as important that we be a person who accepts the sharing offered to us by others. ‘

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Remember sharing is caring.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A trip to the nail salon.

-Dinner with Alex, James, and Conner.

-Judy shared a great story/experience.

-Catching up with Mary.

-A new book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
