For your consideration…

I am not sure who wrote this and it is perfect for today’s message.

“God’s timing is never early, and it is never been late,

In fact, from before our birth until the moment we take our last earthly breath,

our sovereign God is accomplishing His Divine purpose in our lives.”

Mother Nature has been throwing havoc across the country in the last few days. Plans may be changed or are unsure despite our best efforts.

Indeed, my own daughter, Alex, was delayed traveling with her family because she was sick. She and James were supposed to host in their newly remodeled kitchen. But you guessed it, it did not get done. “Oh well, aren’t we lucky we have two other nice options?” Shannon and Will stepped right up and said they would do it. Last night, while I was talking to my friend Jodie, Shannon calls and then texted me to call her. “My oven is broken. Will can probably fix it but it is unclear. Can you host?” Once again, how lucky are we that we have options?

The moment…the Divine Moment…will be exactly as it is supposed to be. We may not ever know the purpose. But we do know we are exactly where we are supposed to be.

We all know the story of Jesus’ birth. Nowhere is it written where Mary and Joseph ranted and raved about their situation. They turned to their Faith.

Let us all be grateful today and pray with love for health, peace, HOPE, and joy for each other.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Affirm…“I am exactly where I am supposed to be.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be peaceful.

What made me smile yesterday…

-I woke up and immediately remembered that I had forgotten lettuce for Christmas dinner. Ugh, But as the storm was just beginning, I ran out…of course, hardly anyone else was and got just what I needed.

-The rest of my cookies and bread were baked for my gift bags.

-Catching up with Lisa, Doug, Jodie, and Shannon.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
