For your consideration…

Our message came in via a song that I love. It is the Whitney Houston song, “I Have Nothing.” While the song is speaking of a romantic relationship, there are some key lyrics we are called to today. “Key” because they are for all people, all relationships, all of the time.

“Share my life.” Take me for what I am.” We know this. We know that every person is designed by God and sent with a specific life purpose. Yet sometimes we forget and want them to change into people they don’t want to be. We are reminded to celebrate each other for the individuals we are.

“Can’t run from myself, there’s nowhere to hide”  This was a message we got earlier in the week, “we can run but we can not hide.” Today we are reminded that as we celebrate others. celebrate who we are as well.

“You see through Right to the heart of me. You break down my walls with the strength of your love.” Love breaks down walls. Love strengthens us. Accept the love of others and be strengthened. Give love and strengthen others. Love like God.

“I have nothing, nothing, nothing, If I don’t have you, you.” Without love for each other and the love of others, we have nothing.

So we are given a challenge. As we are challenged, as we see hate, disappointment, and negativity, step back…release it…and send in loving blessings.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Insert love whenever possible.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Conner and James spent the day with me.

-James fixed my internet connections and TV connections in my basement.

-Conner’s giggles watching the dogs.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
