For your consideration…

I woke up this morning thinking maybe I would lay there and meditate in bed. No sooner was the thought out of my head I hear, “No, get up, go for a walk and meditate.” Needless to say my dog, Louie, was shocked but soooo excited as I grabbed my tennis shoes.

For much of my walk, I was followed by a crow. He would caw exactly two times and move on. Then he would come and do it again. This happened over and over until I got it. He is the messenger. He is the message.

Yesterday our message was about the Universal Law of Harmony. It talked about balance. The number two, the two caws the crow used, is also about balance. We are reminded that we all need balance in our lives and to take stock of where we may be falling short in our lives. The balance of the collective starts with the balance of one.

So why was the crow used to bring in today’s message? Crows are smart, resourceful, and magical. They are with us year-round. They are ever watchful and are great alarm systems. Our own alarm system may be looking at the world and thinking, “But what can I do.” The crow reminds us that each of us can do a lot. And that anything is possible with our imagination and creativity.

Today’s message is full of HOPE because it reminds us of our own power via the crow. This is what Ted Andrews wrote about the crow:

“Where crows are this is magic. They are symbolic of creation and spiritual strength.

They remind us to look for opportunities to create and manifest the magic of life.

They are messengers calling to us about the creation and magic that is alive within our world everyday and available to us. “

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Affirm…“I am a magical and creative being.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful November day.

-Catching up with Heather, Alex, Joan, Kathy, and Mary.

-A great cooking class.

-Some crafting done.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
