For your consideration…

I get the sense that this message is a tack on, or expansion, of yesterday’s message. Yesterday vacations were used as an example of how shallow or deep we wanted to experience it. Today’s message is about living and experiencing life.

We always want to be fully present in all of the moments of our life. We do not want to just scratch the  surface, stand in the shadows, tip toe through,or hide etc.

I can hear some of the thinking now. “That sounds tiring.” “That is not who I am” “I don’t like the spotlight.” or “No problem, I love the limelight.” “I’m shy.” “I’m quiet.”

All or none of the above may be true, true in part, true some of the time. But this message is deeper than that. We are being asked to be fully present in ourselves. We are being asked to consciously immerse ourselves in our own lives. It means that we need to be present and know how what ever is going on around us relates to us. Maybe it calls for action. Maybe it doesn’t. Maybe it is a moment that is calling for us to pause, take a breath, and notice. Maybe we are meant to be an observer and learn.

Then again, maybe we need to step forward and speak or take action. No one is meant to be always in the shadows. Everyone’s presence needs to be felt. Everyone has a story, input that is important to give perspective. No one is always right. We are better together with everyone bringing pieces of the puzzle.

We are meant to LIVE not just EXIST in this life. We can do that if we set our intention to do so.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Live fully present.

What made me smile yesterday…

-I don’t think I eve stopped smiling.

-A beautiful day in the mountains with friends.

-A trip into town with a little shopping and a stop at the cowboy bar for a quick cocktail with the cowboys/cowgirls.

-Catching up with both my girls.

-A fun game night.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
