For your consideration…

I literally woke up at 4:00 AM with this message. I had actually got this message three days ago via the song. You know how it is when a tune gets in your head and is set on perpetual replay? I have company here and had some commitments to do. I did not write the message down because why…I was sure the tune would keep looping in my head. Then the unthinkable happened and when I set down to write the blog, it was gone. I meditated again and still, it would not come back. So when it woke me this morning. I immediately got up and wrote it down. Lesson learned.

The song is,Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive” by the Andrew Sisters. This is just the beginning of the song but all of the lyrics are great.

You got to ac-cent-tchu-ate the positiveE-lim-i-nate the negativeAnd latch on to the affirmativeDon’t mess with Mr. In-betweenYou got to spread joy up to the maximumBring gloom down to the minimumAnd have faith, or pandemoniumLiable to walk upon the scene
To illustrate his last remarkJonah in the whale, Noah in the arkWhat did they do, just when everything looked so dark?
This song was written by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer and sung by Bing Crosby back in 1944. But the words could not be more appropriate for today. It is exactly what the world needs most, a massive attitude adjustment. We can’t control the world but we can start with ourselves.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…
-Affirm…“I am loved.”
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Let Mother Earth lift us up.
-We’re it. Let’s accentuate the positive and let the rest go.
What made me smile yesterday…
-A weather day of everything.
-Sigrid and I went over and watched Conner.
-He was emptying one of his Mom’s kitchen cupboards when I saw him pause and listen and start crawling as fast as he could when he heard his Dad’s voice who was just returning form a trip.
-Finished the book which turned out to be pretty good.
Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
