Happy Thanksgiving
For your consideration……
Thanksgiving….a whole day dedicated to gratitude. A whole day set aside to count our blessings. On this day we remember we are a grateful nation. No wonder we love this holiday so much.
We are reminded today that the energies of love and gratitude always prevail. So be grateful not only this day but every day for the blessings God has bestowed on us, our families, our friends, the United States of America and all of Mother Earth.
Let us not forget that many of our fellow Americans have put all that they have on the line to serve and protect what we are celebrating today. Let us not forget to remember them in all of our celebrations today. Let us not forget to pray for their protection and safe return home. Let us not forget to pray for HOPE that all people will have the freedoms our men and women believe in and fight for.
Today first and foremost my and thousands of other people’s gratitude is that Nick Vogt is home on U.S.A. soil. Nick, a West Point graduate and Naval Academy exchange student, was very critically injured November 11th in Afghanistan. What he and his family has gone through is unimaginable to most of us. Still read Sheila Vogt’s (Nick’s Mom) words,
“There is not enough words to express our families appreciation for the prayer and love that is being showered upon Nick and us. Your love and prayers are what is providing the improvement in Nick’s condition. We are living a miracle that is a result of your caring love for Nick. Please keep the prayers coming. God is providing.”
So few words, yet they go straight to the heart expressing love, gratitude, faith and HOPE.
And that is my wish for each of us today, the unwavering love, gratitude, faith and HOPE of Sheila Vogt.
Happy Thanksgiving
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……
-Meditate….find your peace and joy.
-Drink lots of water.
-Take in at least 10 deep breaths outdoors today.
-Celebrate your blessings. Share them.
-Laugh a lot.
What made me smile yesterday……
-Wow, big lines at the grocery store. But I was in and out in record time. Go figure.
-The baking isle of the grocery store looked like a war zone…..flour all over the floor, carts everywhere, a traffic jam to be sure.
-A chill day. Hmmmm I kind of like them.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Chris
