For your consideration…

Life is always moving. It never stops. Sometimes we are aware, but most of the time we don’t think about it. However, all of us have times in our life when it seems like everything is moving too fast. We feel off kilter. We have a hard time keeping our bearings. We would like everything to just stop for a moment so we can catch our breath and feel more in control.

Our message today uses treading water or floating as an analogy for how to put our life on pause for a moment. Of course, we know that life is still moving. But each of us needs to have the skill to just “tread water or float” for a bit. For some of us, just laying down on the water and floating tuning out the rest of the world is that place. For some of us, it is a cup of coffee in our comfy PJ’s and reading a book. Some of us like to do things with our hands like woodworking, crocheting, knitting, etc. Others like to get into meditation or practice mindfulness. Perhaps it is a walk in silence that pauses the world for us.

Each of us needs a way to put everything on pause until we regroup. We are reminded today to think of what that place or activity is for us and go to it whenever we need to rebalance our lives.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Go to your “peaceful” place whenever you need to.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-I got my hedges trimmed…finally.

-Catching up with both my girls.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
