For your consideration…

HOPE. We often say or hear it said, “Well when all else fails, there’s always HOPE” This is true. And while it is often said with a pessimistic tone or attitude, it is a very positive reminder.

HOPE is a very powerful tool in our life toolbox. It is important that we remember it and use it often. It is also a tool that we must share. Above all we must not steal or break the HOPE of others.

We may be thinking, “I would never do that.” But it is easier to do than we might think. Sometimes we steal HOPE without even realizing we are doing it. For example, we help someone “because we don’t think they can do it themselves.” If they really can’t, that is one thing. But if we do it when they really can do it for themselves but lack the confidence, that is another. Encouragement is an indication of HOPE. Discouragement steals HOPE.I have written before in domestic violence cases we always call people survivors NEVER victims. These words are not interchangeable.

Words matter just as actions matter. We may not be able to solve the worlds problems but each of us matters. Each one of us is important. Each one of us can make a difference. Each one of us has the power through our actions and words to create HOPE. That is an important assignment, Lightworkers.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Inspire HOPE. Live HOPEfully.
