For your consideration…

Isn’t t this old poster funny?

I often remark to my friends that I love using things up. I love when the freezer and pantry start to have a little more room. When I work or am busy, I often take the easy road and rebuy what I need for a dinner or event without doing a thorough check on what I already have. When I lived in Europe, we shopped completely differently. We shopped more often but got only what we needed. There are advantages to that, lest waste but certainly more time consuming and limiting. During Covid, I have to say I did pretty well. And even now with prices so high, I am able to avoid huge grocery bills by using what I have.

Today’s message tells us to do exactly that. Use what we have. Eliminate waste. Share and donate what we think we will not use. While this seems like a rewarding task, I admit that in my case it may be a laborious one. Our motivation should be how good it will feel as we do it and get it done. AND we are reminded that decluttering and creating space in our life is healthy for our well-being and growth.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

“Use it up …declutter.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Catching up with Mary and both my girls.

-A new crock pot recipe that was delicious and I love using the veggies from my garden.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
