drawing on sleeping dad

For your consideration…

,… of humor? PLEASE.

I loved this picture. I wish I had a couple of pictures of the instances it reminded me of. You know, those moments that never fail to make you smile.

I remember one picture I have somewhere of the guys from work out fishing. One of them, Gary M, fell asleep with his head fallen back and mouth open and the other guys putting a minnow in it.

Our message today reminds us that a little bit of humor goes a long way. It is a proven scientific fact that laughter is good for our health. It relieves tension, stress, and the chemical reaction they cause within our bodies.

My daughter, Shannon, is so good at this. When the day at work is just awful, she will just start to laugh and then go back at it the next day with a fresh attitude.

Sometimes we find ourselves in a stressful and tense situation. We may be inclined to laugh but stifle it because we feel it would is inappropriate. Our message today, says don’t be so sure of that. Laughter may be exactly what the situation calls for.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE act6ion steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Laugh out loud…often.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Perfect weather.

-Dinner with Camille…so good to catch up.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
